I WAS THINKING…
how often I see people running instead of walking when I walk at my near-by park. It makes me tired just watching. But, the other day, when there was no one around, I decided to try it. It didn’t take me long to realize why I don’t run anymore. I’ve added it to my list of ‘Too old to do anymore’.
Aw well, I don’t need to run anyway. I’m not in a hurry.
IS THAT QUESTION A COMPLIMENT OR AN INSULT?
Are you still driving the same car?
Remember that purple shirt you used to wear?
How well do you know him?
What were you thinking?
ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
(If paying taxes could have a lighter side)
People who complain about paying their income tax can be divided into two types: men and women.
The tax collector must love poor people; they’re creating so many of them.
Children may be deductible, but they are still taxing.
A fine is a tax for doing something wrong. A tax is a fine for doing something right.
Income-tax forms should be allowed to list Uncle Sam as a dependent.
HINTS FOR THE LAUNDRY ROOM
(Taken from Easy Does It)
*Dry lightweight and heavy clothes in separate loads. Lighter weight items dry faster. Heavy items like blue jeans can damage delicate nylons and such.
*Soak blankets in water and detergent for 10 minutes, then wash on the shortest wash cycle. This will reduce pilling, and they’ll last longer.
*Wash delicate items in a large pillowcase, tie top shut, and wash with delicate cycle.
A flood is just a river that got too big for its bridges.
A synonym is a substitute for a word you can’t spell.
