This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
about the terrifying winds that took control for two days.
Because the threat of down power lines and fires, So Cal Edison had to initiate black-outs. Well, you know what that’s like to be without electricity for a long time. But my fridge survived and so did my friends and neighbors. Perhaps Mother Nature has to remind us once in a while who is in charge and give us a reason to appreciate the beautiful days and nature. I got the message. (But I still don’t like wind.)

THOUGHTS ABOUT WIND
Nicholas Sparks wrote “Love is like the wind-you can’t see it but you can feel it.

Don’t fear opposition. Be like a kite which rises highest against the wind.

YOU KNOW YOU’RE NOT OLD YET IF…
you’re still awake at 10:00 p.m.

you still believe you’ll feel better in the morning.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
One couple lived together for 60 years without a single argument.
Their secret? They shared the same hearing aid.
Doctor: The pain in your leg is from old age.
Harry: Don’t be silly–my other leg is the same age and it doesn’t hurt at all.
