This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
about the Olympics opening and closing ceremony. I was touched with the excitement and pride each athlete had for their own country while walking side by side with other countries. The world seemed to be united. Perhaps united more this year than any other Olympic event. As terrible as it is, the pandemic gave a common thread throughout the world. Did you notice, everyone looked similar with their face covered.

THERE’S ALWAYS HOPE
Don’t lose hope, when the sun goes down, the stars come out.
Hope is seeing light in spite of being surrounded by darkness.
Hope is not a dream but a way of making dreams become reality.

FAMOUS LAST WORDS
Easy Peasey!
Let me show you how it’s done.
Oh no, I can do it myself.
I’ll go first.

THIS I’VE LEARNED
The less time I have, the more I get done.
I can’t choose how I feel, but I can choose what I do about it.
The nicest thing about the future is…that it always starts tomorrow.

JUST USE FABRIC-SOFTENER SHEETS
(Taken from Grandpa Putt’s Problem Solvers)
Wipe glass shower door with dryer sheet, and soap scum will disappear.
To de-electrify hair full of static, rub a dryer from the roots to the ends.
When shoes have an odor, put a sheet in each shoe and let sit overnight.
Tuck a sheet into bag of vacuum cleaner. Get a nice aroma as you vacuum.
(Stay tuned for more uses for fabric-softener sheets soon.)

PUNCH LINES
It’s good to pay your taxes with a smile, but the IRA usually want money.
Avoid fortune tellers who listen to the weather forecasts.
