This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
about my recent plane trip. I was watching the people as the boarded and thought how different they all were. It didn’t matter what age, size, smart, dumb, sex, rich, poor or whatever, for a few hours we were alike. Of course, if the plane had gone down, we’d all been the same.

GARDEN SECRETS
(Taken from Easy Does It)
Protect your hands when pruning thorny plants, wear oven gloves rather than regular gardening gloves. Use a barbecue tong to hold a branch that you want to remove to protect your fingers.
Fasten climbing plants to a trellis with mint-flavored dental floss. It’s strong and weather resistant, and the green color will blend with the green leaves.
Fertilize your flowers with coffee grounds.
Push toilet paper tubes into the soil around seedlings susceptible to cutworms.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
In life, you can never do a kindness too soon because you never know how soon it will be too late. Ralph Waldo Emerson

THIS I’VE LEARNED
There are times when someone will upset us by what they say or do. We’re human, that happens. But often we allow it to keep us from being happy for days.
Should we allow anyone to rob us from such an important part of our life?
Although it’s not always easy to do, we really do need to let it go and move on. Just let it be their problem, not ours. Think about it.
