I WAS THINKING…
about my gifts. They were all lovely but the most special wasn’t wrapped because it was a Christmas e-mail. A couple who I had a business transaction with several years ago wrote, “We were reflecting on people in our lives that we appreciated and made an impact. You are someone we definitely appreciate.” I was touched.
It made me realize how a small gesture like that e-mail can have such impact. Many people have touched my life and I am better for it. It’s time they knew.
I would like to begin with YOU. Yes, you, because you are reading my blog.
I started my blog in March, which was the beginning of the Pandemic.
Not only did it give me an outlet for my passion to write, I wanted to bring a smile to others. But I needed people to read it. I’ve been a pest in promoting my blog and I’ll continue to do so. But for those of you who are following me and supporting my passion, I can’t thank you enough. By the way, tell your friends, family and everyone you know on social media to check out WISE.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
One Christmas, a mother decided she was no longer going to remind her kids to send thank you notes. Consequently, the kids’ grandmother never received any thanks for the Christmas checks she sent to the kids.
However, all the kids stopped by in person to thank their grandmother for their checks.
When a friend asked what caused this change in behavior, the grandmother replied, “Simple. This year I didn’t sign the checks.”

CLEANING HOUSHOLD ITEMS

OIL PAINTINGS: Blot with a piece of soft bread.
VASES: Add a capful of ammonia to vase and fill with hot water.
Or, drop 2 denture tablets in and fill with hot water.
PEWTER: Rub with cabbage leaves.
PIANO KEYS: Rub with a lemon-half to clean surface. Or make a paste with lemon juice and salt. Wipe with clean cloth. Never use soap on ivory. It will stain.
