This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
about a picture I recently saw that was taken many years ago. I found myself in the picture and was shocked when I noticed the blouse I was wearing in the picture was the same one I had on. I guess it proves that some of my old clothes are still my favorite.

KEEP A HAPPY FACE
Smile, your wrinkles won’t show.
Stop lying about your age and start bragging about it.
It’s okay to smile at people you don’t know.
Smile when your hair looks bad. People will look at your face and not your hair.
Don’t worry about what others think of you.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
Hurry kills Presence.
Doubt kills Faith
Ego kills Love
Worry kills Peace

Now, read that right to left.

ENJOY FRESH FLOWERS LONGER
(Taken from Betty-Anne’s Helpful Household Hints)
If a flower arrangement droops, insert the stem of the droopy flowers into a straw to make the arrangement come alive.
When a bouquet is basically finished, look for the few flowers that still have life. Add a little greenery and enjoy a little longer.
If the flowers are too short for the vase, add marbles until the flowers reach the bottom.
Remove the leaves from cut flowers before submerging in water and cut the stem at an angle. Then scrap the stem a little.
Put fresh flowers you just purchased in water (unarranged) and let them stay in the refrigerator for an hour or more. The coolness will put extra zest back into the flowers.

THIS I’VE LEARNED
We have a choice of where we shop. Most of the time we don’t give it much thought and go to a large major store. There are a few family-owned businesses still around, but are having a rough time because of the competition. Perhaps we should take note and give support when possible.  Think about it!
