This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
about the little girls I saw in the park. They were giggling and having so much fun. It brought back childhood memories. I loved playing outdoors. I think it’s true that the little moments in childhood make the biggest memories.

LIFE’S LESSONS
(Taken from Little Handbook of Wisdom)
Don’t waste your time trying to be like somebody else. Only they can do that.
Your attitude is more important than your aptitude.
Read the instructions first. You’ll save time in the long run.
The best time to relax is when you’re too busy.
No one can hurt your feeling unless you let them.
If you do something wrong, admit it.

TIPS IN THE KITCHEN
(Taken from Amish Health Secret book)
Put a piece of bread with cookies to keep them soft.
To crisp up celery or lettuce, place in cold water with a peeled, raw potato.
Add a pinch of salt to Jello-O to improve flavor.
To cut a fresh cake, use a sharp knife dipped in water.
Adding salt to oil before frying helps control splatter.
A fresh egg will sink and a stale egg will float when placed in water.

THIS I’VE LEARNED                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    When we forgive someone, it doesn’t mean the damage never existed.  It means the damage no longer controls our life. That’s a good thing.  Think about it!
