This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
how the month of May is such a special month. Many of my closest friends were born In May and two of my wonderful grandsons have birthdays in May.  Of course, there’s Mother’s Day. Now that’s a really good thing. Have you noticed how Cinco de Mayo has become more popular? The senior center always celebrates that day. Of course, what senior isn’t ready to party anytime?

BORN IN MAY?
The birthstone is emerald, which signifies love and success. The birth flower is Lilly of the Valley. People born in May fall under two zodiac signs: Taurus (Bull) April 20 – May 19
and Gemini (Twins) May 20 – June 19.

OVERHEARD
“I’ve had bad luck with both my wives. The first one left me and the second one stayed.”
“I like sleeping because it’s like being dead without the commitment.”
“Sometimes I meet people and feel bad for their dog.”
I didn’t sleep much but I did get some solid hours of worrying done.”
“We always hold hands. If I let go, she shops.”

BRIGHT IDEAS
(Taken from Household Hint Handbook)
Pictures will hang straighter if you use two nails instead of one. Place about an inch apart. The picture should stay put without having to adjust constantly.
Nylon fishing lines work best for hanging pictures and is nearly invisible.
