This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
about the sign I saw in the drug store. It read 75% OFF. Now that’s my kind of sale.  Of course, it was mostly Christmas items. I bought a couple things I didn’t really need. But then, I figure I can’t go wrong at that price. Besides, when I need it, I’m all set. (I know what you’re thinking)

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
Fred asked a supermarket worker where they kept the applesauce. He said, I’ll see”, and walked away. He then asked another and he said, “I’ll see”, and walked away. Fred gave up and found it himself on aisle C.

OVERHEARD AT THE SENIOR CENTER
I got myself a seniors’ GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

BAKING SODA TO THE RESCUE
(Taken from Practical Problem Solver)
For a deodorant, put baking soda into the bottom of dishwasher between washes.
A paste of baking soda and water will ease the discomfort of bee stings.
Add ½ cup baking soda to bathwater for a softer, smoother skin.
A sprinkle of dry baking soda before vacuuming will freshen carpeting.

THIS I’VE LEARNED
Sometimes it feels like we are surrounded with a negative world. We can probably think of someone we know who is always thinking and talking negative. How easy it is for us to be one of those people when we are surrounded with negative vibes. We must be aware so we can make an effort to be more positive and uplifting to others.  Think about it.
