This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
about the little girls who were in the park doing cartwheels. I had to stop and watch because it brought back memories of how my sisters and I would challenge each other who could do the best cartwheel. If I remember correct; That be me.
But just the thought of even trying it now, hurts. At least it’s a good memory.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
I’ve never figured out why pizza is made round, packed in a square box, and eaten as a triangle.
I’ll never understand why a donut shop will cut a hole in a donut, then charge separate for the same hole they took from the donut.
I heard the local bowling alley is closed due to a strike.
Common sense is like deodorant, the people who need it most never use it.

COOKING HINTS
(Taken from Mary Ellen’s Best of Helpful Hints)
To get catsup out of bottle insert straw, push to bottom and remove. Enough air will be admitted to start an even flow.
Poke a hole in center of hamburger patty. The center will cook quicker and when the hamburger is done the hole will be gone.
Add a lump of butter or cooking oil to the water when cooking rice, noodles or spaghetti and it won’t boil over or stick together.
Always heat pan before adding butter or oil when frying so it won’t stick.

THIS I’VE LEARNED
We all know people who annoy us and we will try to shun. We’re human and it’s normal. But there’s good and bad in all of us. Perhaps we should take time to seek out and consider the good side of that person. It might even be a “feel good” feeling.  Think about it!
