This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
about Thanksgiving. With so much negative issues going on in the world, we often forget about all the amazing things we have to be thankful for. Well, maybe not the turkey. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
I saw two people jogging outside. It inspired me to get up and close the drapes.
“Can’t wait until I get older” is the dumbest thing I ever said.
It’s hard to make ends meet—ends like fingers and toes.
I never lie about my age. I say I’m the same age as Mary. Then I lie about her age.

THE POWER OF SALT IN THE KITCHEN
Remove tea or coffee stains from cups by rubbing stained area with salt and water.
If sugary item boils over in the oven, sprinkle the sticky spill with salt. Let sit until the area becomes crisp. You can then lift off with a spatula when oven cools.
To clean and refresh the inside of fridge, springle equal amounts of salt and baking soda on a damp sponge, and wipe refrigerator surfaces.
Get rid of excess grease in roasting pan by sprinkling with salt. Wipe with a damp sponge or paper towel, and wash as usual.

SOME THOUGHTS ABOUT NOTHING
The thing wrong with doing nothing is you never know when you’re finished.
To do nothing is the way to be nothing.
No one is as tired as the person who does nothing.
One disadvantage of having nothing to do is that you can’t stop and rest.

THIS I’VE LEARNED
There may be times we see someone make a mistake or do something foolish and they aren’t even aware of it. Do we bring it to their attention? If no harm is done and it can’t be fixed, perhaps the kind thing to do is spare them the embarrassment. Think about it!
