I WAS THINKING…
how bare my house looks now without the Christmas decorations. Have you noticed how much more fun it Is to put them up than take down. Just think in about 300+ days we get to do it again.

HINTS ON PREPARING VEGETABALES

Add a few drops of lemon to mashed avocado to prevent darkening.
It’s best not to cook beans in the same water you used to soak them.
Brussel sprouts will cook more evenly and quicker if you cut a cross into the stem end. Don’t overcook; they taste better when crisp-tender.
You’ll shed fewer tears when peeling onions if you chill the onion in the fridge first.
If ketchup won’t come out of bottle, insert a straw in the center, then remove it. A bit of air is all it takes to release the vacuum to allow it to flow easily.

THIS I’VE LEARNED
There are times when we say something and realize later it must have sounded dumb. We can’t redo what has been said, but perhaps we can learn from our mistake and then ask yourself, “What difference will it make two years from now?” Think about it!
