I WAS THINKING…
about the fun I had babysitting my five-year-old granddaughter. Well, actually she’s, my great-grandchild. I figure the word great has more than one meaning. Have you notice how every grandparent has the very best grandchildren. I know I do.
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
Pets teach us that love and loyalty are demonstrated by action not words.
The tongue has no bones, yet it is strong enough to break a heart.
A kindness can never be too soon, for soon it may be too late.
How much you know matters less than how much you care.
HINTS FOR THE PETS
(Taken from Mary Ellen’s Best of Helpful Hints)
For whiter and brighter fur, put a little bluing in the shampoo or rinse water.
If pet is shedding, place a strainer in the tub drain to keep from clogging up.
Stuff a few mothballs in the cushion of a chair or sofa and your cat will stay away.
Cats also hate plastic coverings. Cover until cat realizes the chair is a no-no.
Tape reflector tape on dog or cat’s collar to keep safe when out at night.
Instead of bath, rub baking soda into the dog’s coat and brush off. It deodorizes as well as clean.

THIS I’VE LEARNED
Too often we don’t notice the beautiful flowers or trees that surround us because our mind is too occupied dealing with our busy agenda. Perhaps we should slow down to notice the beauty we’ve been ignoring. Let’s enjoy these wonderful gifts from mother nature. And, just maybe, our agenda will feel less stressful. Think about it!
