This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
about the snake I saw sunbathing on the sidewalks when I was on a walk.
I walked way around it, actually way, way around. It reminded me of when I was growing up. It wasn’t unusual to see snakes on our farm. My mom was terrified of snakes. So, I have a few snake stories. I guess I inherited my fear of snakes. But I’m not alone. According to what I recently read; Ophidiophobia, the fear of snakes, and Arachnophobia, the fear of spiders, are the most common phobias. Glad to know I’m normal.

KEEP A HAPPY FACE
Do something nice for someone, but keep it a secret.
Don’t let grandiose plans for tomorrow interfere with chances to do little things today.

OVERHEARD
I wish I had known when I was in the good days. It might have been more fun.
Now marijuana is legal and haircuts are against the law. It took half a century, but hippies finally won.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
What’s worse than a box full of snakes?  A box that was SUPPOSED to be full of snakes.
Jane: I hate snakes.
Betty: Why do you hate snakes?
Jane:  I think it’s because they have no feet.
Betty: Oh, you must be lacktoes intolerant.

QUESTIONS TO ASK WHEN UNCLUTTREING
When was the last time I used it?
Is it a duplicate?
Is it out-of-date?
Is it in repair or damaged?
Am I keeping it because I feel guilty giving away a gift?
How easily could I get another if I needed it?
What impact would it be if I didn’t have it anymore?
