This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
about school being out-ALREADY? Although it’s been so many, many years, I still remember how I couldn’t wait for the last day of school. It wasn’t so much that I didn’t like school, but I loved the summer months. Maybe because I could start going barefooted.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
Pedestrian: A person who should be seen and not hurt.
Impatience: Waiting in a hurry.
Modesty: The art of exuding charm by pretending to be unaware you have it.
Maturity: Feeling you’re right without needing to prove another wrong.
Flattery: Describing others as they would describe themselves.

MORE TO KNOW ABOUT VINEGAR
(Taken from The Vinegar Anniversary Book)
Renew the vitality of old vinegar by adding a dash of fresh vinegar to bottle.
Wipe dust from houseplants with a cloth dampened with a mixture 1/3 cup vinegar and 1 quart water.
Never store vinegar in metal, copper, lead or zinc containers. Its acidic nature reacts and can leach harmful chemicals into the vinegar.
A paste made of oatmeal soaked in apple cider vinegar is said to ease the pain of minor burns.

THIS I’VE LEARNED
Sometimes we feel stupid because of something we did or said. No matter how much we would like to ‘do-it-over’, we can’t. It’s best not to dwell on it and move on.  After all, everyone does dumb things once-in-awhile. So, let’s just caulk it up as being human. Think about it!
