I WAS THINKING…
about a funeral I went to last week. I sure hope Hugo was looking down from heaven to see all people who loved him. The large church was almost full. His 91 years weren’t wasted.
ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
FROM THE MOUTH OF SENIOR CITIZENS
My brain is giving me the silent treatment today.
My car got recalled yesterday. I finally recalled where I parked it.
I don’t drink or do drugs. I get the same affect by standing up too fast.
I can rise and shine but not at the same time.
It’s scaey when you start making the same noises as your coffee maker.
I really think tossing and turning at night should be counted as exercise.
OLD FARMER’S ALMANAC REMEDIES FOR SUNBURN
(These are their remedies written in their magazine throughout the years)
Bath the face with buttermilk for a simple and harmless remedy.
Grate potatoes and apply to sunburn. The starch will cool and soothe the burn.
Use apple cider vinegar, plain or diluted to ease a sunburn.
Dissolve Epson salt or baking soda in water, apply to a clean cloth, and drape the cloth over the affected area.
Add black or green tea to bathwater to soothe sunburned skin. Or pat sunburned skin with wet tea bags.
If sunburn is itchy, try oatmeal to ease the itch.

THIS I’VE LEARNED
There may be times when we notice someone who isn’t acting very nice. Our first reaction may be to think badly of them. Perhaps we shouldn’t be too quick to judge. We don’t know what someone is going through. We all deserve the benefit of the doubt. Think about it!
