This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
about a group of Spanish-speaking ladies I saw laughing and having fun. It made me realize that if they were talking, I wouldn’t have understood a word they said, but they laughed the same as me. Isn’t it neat that laughter is a universal language.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
“I love your butterfly tattoo. You’re so brave to have had that done at your age,” Mary congratulated her friend Joan.
It’s not a tattoo,” Joan said. “I just asked my surgeon to arrange my latest operation scars in as attractive a way as possible”.

USES FOR PRESCRIPTION BOTTLES
(Taken from the book: Don’t you Dare Throw it Out)
Prescription bottles can be handy when traveling.
A perfect size for storing cotton swabs.
No need to take entire bottle of lotion. Take what you’ll need in a prescription bottle.
Make a travel sewing kit with a needle, various colors of thread and a thimble.
Use for first aid kit. Keep Band-Aids, foil packets of antibiotic ointment, alcohol swab, etc.
Handy to store aspirin and vitamins when traveling.

IDEA WHEN PAINTING INSIDE OF HOUSE
(Taken from Heloise)
Write the amount, brand and color of paint you used for a room on the back of the light-switch plate in that room, you’ll have a handy reminder of important information when you repaint.

THIS I’VE LEARNED
We all get discouraged at some time. Even the most successful people feel discouraged at times. But it’s important that we don’t dwell on it. Perhaps if we remember the past difficulties we thought we couldn’t handle, but did. We still have that same strength. And it might be easier to move on if we we think about the many things and people we have to be grateful for. Think about it!
