HOW TO TEST IF A DISH IS MICROWAVE SAFE
(Taken from The Kitchen Secret Handbook)
Place a microwave safe dish with one cup water in the microwave.
Place the dish to be tested next to the cup of water, but not touching.
Microwave on high for one minute.
It the dish feels hot; it contains metal and not microwave safe. Do not use.
SWEETS FOR BREAKFAST???
Breakfast is the best time to eat sweets because your metabolism is highest in the morning, it gives you the rest of the day to work off the calories and breakfast does more to suppress ghrelin, a hormone that boosts hunger. (This is what The Kitchen Secret Handbook says). Now I have a good excuse.
THIS I’VE LEARNED
This time of year, we often find ourselves being too busy. Although it’s fun
to get into the spirit of Christmas with family, good food and exchanging gifts, we often are so caught up with our hustle and bustle that we forget the reason for the season. Perhaps we should stop to think if we are guilty.
