I WAS THINKING…
about my very green nail polish I’m sporting in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. I’m amazed how many people are commenting on them, even strangers. I hope they think I’m Irish. Happy St. Paddy’s Day
ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
Murphy’s Law
(Taken from the book Murphy’s Law)
A fool is like a man on top of a mountain; everything appears small to him and he appears small to everybody.
Never argue with a fool. People watching might not know the difference.
A good plan today is better than a perfect plan tomorrow.
Whenever you set out to do something, something else must be done.
If it jams-force it. If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway.
AMISH HEALTH CURES
(Taken from the book Amish Health Secrets)
BURNS: If you burn tongue from hot food or drinks, put sugar on your tongue.
Put apple cider vinegar on a burn immediately to prevent blistering.
HICCUPS: Eat one tsp. peanut butter.
MINOR CUTS: Put honey directly on cut. Honey is a natural penicillin.
MOSQUITO BITE RELIEF: Moisten a bar of soap and rub on bite.
It will stop itching and act as disinfectant to prevent infection.
POISON IVY: Rub the inside of a banana peel on affected area to relieve itching.
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
Cry a little and laugh a lot. Be thankful for what you’ve got.
Of all the things you wear, your expression is the most important.
He who forgives ends the quarrel.
Deeds are greater than words.
THIS I’VE LEARNED
Often we will have what is called “a gut feeling”. Perhaps we should not ignore this feeling. Not always, put very often, it seems to prove there was a reason. Think about it.!
