This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING
about a 100th birthday party I went to for a friend. It was such a treat to see her seven children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and yeah, great, great grandchildren. They all looked like their(still) attractive mother/grandmother who was once Ms. New York and 1st runner up for Ms. America. She still volunteers at the hospital as a receptionist 4 hour a week. I’m thinking if she can live that long, maybe I will too. Let’s all do it!

GOOD ADVICE
If it doesn’t make you feel good…
Don’t do it – Don’t buy it – Don’t wear it – Don’t eat it – Don’t keep it

SOMEONE YOU MIGHT ENJOY
Recently I saw a documentary film featuring DeWitt Jones. He’s a photographer for National Geographic and has become a famous speaker. I googled him and found some of his talks. I was very impressed. Perhaps you may want to check him out by googling DeWitt Jones Ted Talks.

SPACE-SAVING IDEAS
(Taken from Household Hint Handbook)
You can remember what you stored in a box on the top shelf by attaching a tag describing the contents to the end of a string and let it hang down from the box.
You’ll have more space in your linen closet if you roll the towels instead of folding and stacking them.
Use a stuffed animal instead of a jewelry box. Hang necklaces around the neck, pin on pins and fasten earrings to the edge of floppy ears.
To keep chains from getting tangled, slip through a plastic drinking straw and fasten the catch.

THIS I’VE LEARNED
There are people who always seem to be late. We should be careful that we are not one of them. Not only is it disrespectful but it’s takes away other’s time. Think about it!
