I WAS THINKING…
how this is such a special time of year. Spring has sprung bringing those beautiful flowers and green hills. And this coming holy week and Easter Sunday makes it even more special. I wish all of you a Happy Easter.
THERE’S GOOD IN EVERYTHING
If you were homeless, you’d be home now.
If you have to wear a hearing aid, you can turn off what you don’t want to hear.
Wrinkles don’t hurt.
If you’re bald, you’ll be the first to know when it starts raining.
If you start losing your memory, you’ll have less to forget.
DID YOU KNOW?
If the electricity goes out when you have the air-conditioner on, you should turn the air off before the electric comes back on because it may damage the air-conditioner when the electric comes back on.
HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK IF YOU ARE ALONE
How do you survive a heart attack when you’re alone when it happens? A person who is feeling weak and whose heart is beating hard has only about 10 seconds before losing consciousness.
But you can help yourself by coughing repeatedly and very strongly! Deep breaths before every cough. Coughing should be repeated every second until you arrive at the hospital or until your heart starts to beat normally.
Deep breathing gives oxygen to your lungs and coughing movements boost the heart and blood circulation. Heart pressure also helps to restore a normal heartbeat. That’s how cardiac arrest victims can make it to the hospital for the right treatment.
THIS I’VE LEARNED
How often we let time slip by without being in touch with someone important to us. It’s not what we plan or want, but we are so busy that we let it happen. Of course they are busy too causing them not to contact you. Perhaps we should make a conscience effort not to let this happen. Think about it!
