This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
how many times I will push when the door says pull. I know, opening a door
shouldn’t be that difficult, so what’s wrong with me? I guess I don’t expect a
door to come with instructions. Aw well, it shouldn’t be that hard to just take a
couple seconds to stop and look. Now all I need to do is remember to that.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
Three old guys are out walking. The first one says, “Windy, isn’t it?”
The second one says, “No, it’s Thursday!”
The third one says, “So am I. Let’s go get a beer.”

TREASURED WORDS
(Taken from the book “Treasured Verses”)
Be friendly, and you will never want for friends.
Deeds are greater than words.
Never accuse others to excuse yourself.

BAKING HINTS
(Taken from The Old Farmer’s Almanac)
If you don’t have enough batter for all the muffin cups, put water in each empty cup. The steam from the water will also add a little bit of crustiness to the muffins.
Take eggs out of fridge about an hour ahead of baking. All ingredients should be the same temperature.

PUNCH LINES
No need to watch for the light to turn green. The car behind you will tell you.
Worry causes wrinkles—which give you something else to worry about.
