This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING
about the three hours I spent recently in the dentist chair. I aways say, there’s good in everything, but what can I say that would be good about that. It certainly wasn’t fun. Well, all I had to do was sit there. My poor dentist had to do the tedious work and he did good. I suppose the best good thing is…it’s over.

HOW TO PICK A PUMPKIN FOR CARVING
(Taken from Old Farmer’s Almanac)
1. Look for pumpkin with a deep orange color.
2. Knock for a hollow sound to be sure it’s ripe.
3. Bottom should not be soft and mushy. Make sure it’s flat so it doesn’t roll.
4. Stem should be firm and secure.
5. Never pick up from stem. A broken stem leads to faster decay.
6. Avoid bruised pumpkins. A smooth surface will be easier to carve.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
You can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.                                  You should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
Money is a lousy way of keeping score.
You may have the right to be angry, but that doesn’t give you the right to be cruel.
You are responsible for what you do, no matter how you feel.

THIS I’VE LEARNED
There are times when we are rejected. It’s totally normal that we would be upset and need time to process our emotions and vent. But then, it’s best to pick ourselves up and embrace that a missed opportunity may lead to an even better one. Perhaps the rejection can actually be a motivation to start new.
Think about it!
