how much our life depends on electricity. I found out just the other day when our electricity was out for ten hours. I realize how much we take for granite. I can only guess how many times I tried turning on the light. At first, I was annoyed, but when I thought of all the people who recently lost their home in fires. I knew I was blessed to have only a temporary problem.
TIPS FOR A HAPPY NEW YEAR
Be sure your shoes are comfortable and good for your feet and back.
Don’t eat in a hurry. Make it a pleasant time.
Once in awhile treat yourself to flowers.
Take a deep breath when you need to calm yourself down.

HINTS FOR A FRESH SMELLING HOME
Spread a fresh smell every time you vacuum. Put a scented fabric softener sheet in the bag of an upright vacuum. For a change, you could also try carpet freshener, baking soda or potpourri.
Put a few drops of wintergreen oil on cotton balls. Set then in open glass containers to help your house smelling clean and fresh.
Spice up the air with cinnamon and cloves. Tie then together in a piece of cheesecloth. Boil them together to fill the air with a pleasant scent.
Get rid of odors in a small space like a pantry or closet by setting out a bowl of fresh coffee grounds. It should soon smell country fresh.
