THIS I’VE LEARNED

I WAS THINKING…
how technology has made this ‘stay at home’ mandate more acceptable. You know what I’m talking about, but one perk new to me is Zoom. My great grand baby just started crawling and because of Zoom, I got to see her crawl.  That was pretty neat.  I don’t need to miss a couple weekly meetings. It’s Zoom to the rescue. But that camera on my computer has no mercy. I now know what a 80+ year old neck really looks like.

KNOW YOU ARE GETTING OLD…
when the ten o’clock news comes on later every night.
when everyone reminds you of someone you once knew.
when you can’t remember if something was for real or a dream.

KEEP A HAPPY FACE
Be happy with what you already have.
Enjoy the outdoors as much as possible.

COMPLIMENT OR AN INSULT?
You’re looking so much better.
I’ll never forget the things we did as teenagers.
Are you the oldest?

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
“When are you going to stop wasting so much money?” Jerome said raising his voice. “How many times have I told you we need to save?” His voice rang out above the others in the restaurant. People stared. Judy wasn’t going to let him embarrass her again. She straightened her shoulders and in the same loud voice as his she said, “You were right to say that. And what else did you say to him.”

HINTS FOR STORING BERRIES
Berries will keep longer if you store unwashed in a colander in the fridge.
To freeze berries without having them turn to mush, place them on a cookie sheet, freeze, then pack in an airtight container.

When I was growing up back in Peoria, there was a truck that I saw more than once. Written on it was “Rapp the Blind Man”. Never could figure out how he could drive. True story. Then I grew up 🙂

Another fun blog Theresa. I am so happy Zoom has worked well for you. I know what you mean about the 82 year old neck–and face, on Facetime. Makes one sad !!
