THIS I’VE LEARNED

I WAS THINKING…
if someone told us fifty years ago, we would have the technology we have today, we would’ve laughed. We could never have imagined it. Actually, I can hardly believe it today and I can see it. The children of today will never know that ‘other world’. Our lives have changed with instant communication because of our cell phones. And we can thank the cell phone for keeping people humble.  You know what I’m talking about if you ever saw yourself on a ‘selfie’.

YOU KNOW YOU’RE GETTING OLD WHEN…
your favorite night spot is in front of the television.
you made a fool of yourself and no one even noticed.

KEEP A HAPPY FACE
Do what needs to be done. Just do it.
Only love, not time, heals wounds.

HOUSEHOLD HINTS FOR REMOVING STAINS
(Taken from Haley Hints)
Try removing ball-point ink with rubbing alcohol or hair spray. Sometimes ink can also be removed by soaking garment in milk.
Apply toothpaste to lipstick stains.
Remove mildew stains with salt and lemon juice. Let set in sun.
To remove gum, even from hair, put the white of an egg on it and leave for a few minutes. Work the gum out.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
The two big hazards on the road today are people over 70 driving under 25 and those under 25 driving over 70.
Whenever a man brags that he never makes a mistake, I know his wife did.
Marriage should be like a workshop. He works and she shops.

PUNCH LINES
A good alternative to speaking out is silence.
Having common sense is one thing; using it is another.
