This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING
about my fun week in Illinois to attend our annual family reunion and spend time with childhood friends. I got to visit with six of my ten siblings. (Two are in heaven). As the years come and go, I see more wrinkles and canes, but also more babies. I guess this is what bitter-sweet means.

WORDS OF WISDOM
(Taken from Life’s Little Handbook of Wisdom)
Eat until you’re full, not stuffed.
What you think determines what you do.
To belittle is to be little.
Heed the advice you give to others.
To ignore the facts does not change the facts.

SIGNS OF THE TIME
Pizza Shop: 7 days without pizza makes one weak.
Towing Shop: We don’t charge an arm and a leg. We want tows.
On a fence: Salesmen welcome. Dog food is expensive.
Muffler Shop: No appointment necessary. We’ll hear you coming.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
As we grow older, real beauty travels from the face to the heart, hurt to wisdom.
The true beauty of life is not how happy you are now, but how happy others are because of you.
