This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
I’m thankful that I can still go to Trader Joe’s during this ‘stay-at-home’ obstacle. It’s always been one of my favorite places because I often see someone I know. But lately, with all the masks, I’m not always sure who I see is who I think it is.  If I can see their eyes, that helps. Of course, I could identify someone’s voice, but no one is talking much. So, I figured if I walk close by (six feet, of course) and stare, perhaps they’ll recognize me and we can chat or not.

IS IT A COMPLIMENT OR AN INSULT?
That’s a better color for you.
You have a face that’s hard to forget.

KEEP A HAPPY FACE
Cherish the moment.  You’ll never see it again.
Forget your regrets. Absolutely nothing can change it.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
        (overheard)
A thief broke into my house looking for money. I woke up and searched with him.
My dentist told me I need a crown. I’ve always thought that myself.
I think it’ll be easier if I just put an “out of order” sticker on my forehead.

HINTS FOR HEALTHY PLANTS
    (Taken from Haley’s Hints)
The best water for plants is rainwater. It’s natural and doesn’t contain chlorine. Keep a ‘rain barrel’ to collect water. Treat your plants to nature’s bounty all year.
Don’t over water your plants. Sink your finger into the soil, if it feels dry, water, if not, pass by and test again in a few days.

PUNCH LINES
It’s more helpful to give good example than good advice.
An ounce of yes is worth a pound of maybe.
