This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING
about people I know who were very pretty and handsome, but now as they are getting old, well, not so much. We might find that depressing, but as I always say, there’s good in everything. Even though beauty fades, the real person is the same. Family and friends don’t love you less when the beauty is gone. New friends are not influenced by appearance but appreciate the beauty that comes from the heart. Now, this makes it easier for me to look in the mirror.

OMG! YOU WONT’ BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED
This blog was hacked and I didn’t find it for 3 or 4 days. Anyone who came to this site  saw pornography. It was very upsetting. I couldn’t believe it. My apologize to anyone who came to this site and saw that. It’s been taken care and shouldn’t happen again.

A LESSON FOR THE DAY
When something bad happens, you have three choices.
You can either let it define you, let it destroy you, or you can let it strengthen You.

MAGIC IN THE KITCHEN
(Taken from Haley’s Hints)
SOUPS, STEWS, SAUCES & GRAVIES
Too Salty? Add a raw potato or apple. Remove after cooking 10 minutes
Other ideas is to add a little sugar or a teaspoon of cider vinegar.
Too Greasy? Toss in a lettuce leaf. Let it absorb the fat, then throw away. Another way is to toss in a few ice cubes. Fat will stick to the cubes. Remove and toss.
Using Cornstarch? A gentle stir with spoon or whisk is sufficient. Beating too much will cause it to become too thin.
Making Gravy? Add flour to the pan when roasting the meat. The flour will brown for use to make good gravy.
