This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
about Zoom and how it has made such a difference in how we communicate with family, education, business and actually the world. I’m not going to try and figure out the technology of it. Actually, I’m still trying to digest the fact that this thing called Alexa can talk to me, not to mention how much she knows.
I certainly never thought I’d see the day when I would put on make-up to sit in front of my computer. What next ? Most likely, Zoom would not have exploded into what it has become, it wasn’t for Covid-19. I guess it’s another proof to what I always say…there’s something good in everything.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
Harry was on a job interview when he was asked to tell something about his background. So, he eagerly told him about his education, career, family, hopes and dreams.
Turns out he was asking him about what was behind him on their Zoom call.

IN OTHER WORDS – SIGNS OF THE TIME
Health Spa/Gym: Merry Fitness and a Happy New Rear!
Highway sign: Take notice: when this sign is under water, this road is impassable.
Texas Divorce Attorney’s Office: “Remember the Alimo-ny.”
Maternity Clothes Shop: We are open on Labor Day.

BANANA PEELS TO THE RESCUE
(Taken from Reader’s Digest Practical Problem Solver)
SHOE SHINE: For a spur-of-the-moment job, rub leather shoes with the inside of a banana peel; then clean and buff with paper towel or napkin.
FERTILIZER: Bury peels no more than one inch deep around rosebushes. It’s good also to add to garden compost pile; they are excellent source of phosphorus and potassium.

PUNCH LINES
If you want to be alone, don’t bother to smile.
If money talks, it only knows one word: “Goodbye”.
