THIS I’VE LEARNED

I WAS THINKING…
how nice it is to have my neighbors compete on outdoor Christmas decorations. My large picture window lights up with two of the best decorated homes in town. It feels like they did it just for me. For sure, I get to enjoy it the most. And then there’s another good thing. I don’t have to decorate my house. No one would care about my insignificant decorations compared to my neighbors.

IT HAPPENED AGAIN
I was told it wouldn’t happen again. BUT IT DID! My website was hacked again with terrible naughty junk. I was embarrassed. The problem should be solved this time. I’m so very sorry if you went to my blog and found that. Why do things like this happen?

YOU KNOW YOU’RE GROWING OLD WHEN…
people start to tell you how young you look.
look in the mirror and see your mom or dad.
it takes longer to rest than it did to get tired.
your knees buckle, but your belt won’t.

WHY DO WE DECORATE TREES?
(Taken from The Farmer’s Almanac)
Evergreen trees have been a traditional symbol of winter festivals for thousands of years. Ancient people hung evergreen boughs over doors and windows. Some believed evergreens kept witches, evil spirits and illness away.
Romans decorated evergreen trees with trinkets and topped with the image of their Sun God.
Christians started using evergreen as a symbol about 400 years ago in Germany as a sign of everlasting life with God.

PUNCH LINES
If you hang something in the closet long enough it will shrink two sizes.
Stressed is desserts spelled backwards.
