This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
about the tragic event that happened on September 9, 2011. Everyone remembers 9-11, even what they were doing when they heard the news. It affected so many lives, even until today. I know I can’t think about 9-ll without feeling sad. But today I also have reason to celebrate that date. Four years ago on September 11th, my beautiful great-grand daughter was born. Life goes on.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
The best way to eliminate wrinkles is to take your glasses off when you look in the mirror.
The trouble with growing old is that there’s not much future in it.
You know you’re getting old when you have to run to go as fast as you used to walk.
Old age is when you get enough exercise just trying to stay out of the way.

CLEVER QUOTES

No one is useless in this world who lightens the burden of it to anyone else. Charles Dickens
There are three ingredients in the good life: learning, earning and yearning. Christopher Morley

This I’ve Learned
When we were young our biggest attraction to the others was often how cute they were. Perhaps many used this thought when they chose their life partner. Sadly, “cute’ is too often temporary.
When we learn not to judge anyone by their appearance, especially people we meet for the first time, but look for their positive traits, it will be a “feel good” thing for everyone.  Think about it!
