This I’ve Learned


I WAS THINKING…about the coronation of King Charles III when thousands of people gathered outside Westminster Abbey to watch guests arrive to join in on the expensive spectacle. Well, I sure wouldn’t want to be there fighting that crowd. I think the best place to watch anything special is on television. I just sat in my reclining chair with my feet up and I got to hear and see King Charles’s face when he was crowned. For a few minutes I felt like I was there.

FINGERNAILS MAY BE A WARNING SIGNS

Lines or changes in nail coloration may indicate disease or exposure to toxic substances.
Spoon nails-forms a cup or depression may be sign of iron deficiency or anemia.
Hard yellow nails could be signs of lung disease or sinus trouble.
Club nails-opposite of spoon nails, abnormally raised, may be signal of heart or lung problems.
Brittle nails is usually caused by detergents or nail polish remover.

LAUNDRY AIDS

If you add too much detergent, sprinkle in some salt and suds will fizzle out.
Always wash corduroys inside out, to help keep the good side lint-free.
A half cup of vinegar in the final rinse helps prevent lint on the clothes.
Make sure zippers are closed before laundering. It helps keep the working.
