I WAS THINKING…
about the people I saw running in the park. It reminded me of just one more thing I can’t do anymore. I felt resentful. Then I saw a boy, about eight years old, confined to a wheel chair. It made me realize how unappreciative I was. All my life I’ve been blessed with good health with no restrictions. I thanked God for everything I still can do as the years roll by. I also said a prayer for the young boy.
WORDS OF WISDOM
(Taken from Life’s Handbook of Wisdom)
Recognition is good; admiration is better.
If you want to know what’s in your heart. Listen to your mouth.
If you agree to bury the hatchet, don’t leave the handle sticking out.
You can give without loving, but you can’t love without giving.

HINTS FOR LAUNDRY DAY
(Taken from Easy Does It)
Give the bleach a boast by adding a cup of baking soda to half the amount of bleach. The white clothes will be bright again.
When washable items made of wool or silk has yellowed, try this solution. Mix a tablespoon of white vinegar with a pint of water. Sponge it on the yellowed area, then rinse. Wash as suggested.
Save energy and prevent wrinkles by using a cold water rinse regardless of what you are washing.
The sun is the oldest bleach around. Spread a white sheet on the ground and leave the clothes in the sunshine all day.
THIS I’V LEARNED
Often someone will offend us by what they do or say to us and it bothers us a lot. We can’t forget it. When we continue to think about it, we are allowing that person to keep offending us. Do we really want that person to have that control over us? It’s not always easy, but we need to work on letting it go. Think about it!
