This I’ve Leaerned

I WAS THINKING…
how nice it is to walk at the college campus near me. The other day, when I thought no one was around because it was Saturday, I noticed a couple sitting in a large Oak tree. They seemed to be relaxing, having a serious conversation. I tried not to stare at them because I didn’t want then to know I saw them. Then I figured, anyone who would hang out in a tree wouldn’t care what other people thought. But I’m not going to look at the roof tops.

OVERHEARD AT THE SENIOR CENTER
The greatest time-saver I have is owning two pairs of eyeglasses.
I don’t worry about forgetting things because I forget what I forgot.

GOT A LOOSE SCREW?
Fix a loose screw with a twist-tie from bread. Remove the screw. Cut the twist-tie to the length of the hole. Insert the tie in the hole and when you put the screw back in, it should make the screw should fit tighter.
Another solution: Wrap sting around the screw threads for a tighter fit.

THOUGHTS ABOUT “THE EXPERT”
(Taken from 1001 Quips and Quotes)
An expert is one who knows more and more about less and less until he knows absolutely everything about nothing.
An expert is a person who can take something you already know and make it sound confusing.
Be careful about calling yourself an “expert”. An ex is a has-been and spurt is a drip under pressure.

THIS I’VE LEARNED
Sometimes we get troubled about little things, but we make it a big-thing. Perhaps if we would take note of the homeless and what others in the world are going through, we can “let-go” and say a prayer of thanks.
