I WAS THINKING…
how strange it is to suddenly have an itch for no particular reason. But it does feel good to scratch it. Of course, it’s certainly a different story if it’s from a medical problem or an insect bite.  And don’t you just hate it when your back itches and you can’t reach it, especially if you’re in public. One could be tempted to ask a stranger to scratch it for you. Naw, I could never do that. (not yet)

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
Betty was talking to her attorney about getting a divorce.
Attorney: “Do you have any grounds.”
Betty: “Yes, we have a lovely acre.”
Attorney: “No, I mean do you have a grudge?”
Betty: “No, but we have a carport.”
Attorney: “That’s not what I mean. Does he beat you up or something?”
Betty: “No, I get up before my husband every morning.”
Attorney: “Come on, just tell me why you want a divorce.”
Betty: “Because I just can’t carry on a decent conversation with that man.”

LEFTOVERS – NOW WHAT?

Meatloaf: Add spaghetti sauce – Or make a salad for sandwich, mix with onions and mayonnaise.
Tuna Salad: Add cooked macaroni, sprinkle with cheese, bake for ½ hour=casserole.
Rice: Add olives and pimentos for a cold rice salad. Or turn leftover rice into pudding.
Vegetables: Make an interesting “garden” omelet.
Mashed Potatoes: Roll into balls, dip in egg and then bread crumbs, bake until golden brown.

THIS I’VE LEARNED
When a good friend or family member are cranky or irritable, we just want to ‘get away’ from them. Most likely there is a reason for this behavior, especially if they are normally pleasant and fun. Perhaps it’s a time when we need to ‘be there’. That’s what family and good friends are for. Think about it.
