This I’ve Learned

Blog June 17, 2024

I WAS THINKING…
about the open house I went to recently. It was at a lovely senior living home. There were activities and lunch for the public to be with the residence. Most of the residence seemed happy and content to share their home, every day, with 130 other people. Gosh, and to think I can hardly wait until my gardener leaves.

SAY WHAT?
Anybody who knows everything should be told a thing or two.
The average family has enough money–unless they want to buy something.
Admit your faults as long as you know that being wrong is not one of them.

A RUSSIAN PROVERB
When you meet a man, you judge him by his clothes;
when you leave, you judge him by his heart.

SAY CHEESE
(Taken from Haley Hints)
When you slice cheese, spread butter on the exposed area. It’ll stop it from drying out and getting hard.
Dried out cheese can still be grated and used in soups and vegetables.
To keep mold from forming on cheese, wrap a few cubes of sugar with the cheese.
It’s said you can almost double the life of cottage cheese, by storing the container upside down in the fridge.

THIS I’VE LEARNED
So often at the end of the day we think about the blunders we did that day or perhaps things we didn’t get done. It may take practice, but it’s best if we can forget about today because tomorrow is a new day and we should begin it well with a new start. Think about it.
