I WAS THINKING…
about recent images on television showing people struggling with the snow and blizzards. Not only did I feel helpless but maybe a little guilty because I was enjoying California’s warm weather.
It also triggered childhood memories when I was growing up in Illinois. Waiting for the first snow fall was in the category as waiting for Christmas or Easter. Our farm had the perfect hill for sledding. Of course, there were times of deep snow and blizzards but I didn’t know a world without it. Now I do. I’m thankful for those days, but I’m glad they are over and now only a memory.
