I WAS THINKING….
about the rabbits who feast on my lawn. I have the bare spots to prove it. Sure, I’ve tried the “stuff” that’s supposed to keep them away. It works, but not for very long. I guess this is another time to remind myself of my favorite saying, ‘there’s good in everything’. Those bunnies are so darn cute.

June is named from Juno, the Roman deity of women and marriage-appropriately enough, since this is the month associated with brides.
The longest day in 2025 will be Saturday, June 21st.
June gives us pause to realize it’s the half-way mark for the year and time to re-check our New Years Resolutions.

HOW TO PICK A GOOD WATERMELON
(Saw this on my phone)
The key is to examine the spot on the bottom of the watermelon. To pick the best, find one with a slightly yellow, almost creamy, color on its base. If it has a pale green or white spot on its base, that means it is immature and not ripe yet.
