This I’ve Learned

NONTOXIC ALTERNATIVES TO REMOVE STAINS — 😌
Blood
•  ¼ cup borax
•  2 cups cold water
Rinse with cold water before the blood dries, then scrub with warm water and soap. If stain remains, dip in the solution of borax and cold water.

Chocolate and Coffee:
•  1 tsp. white vinegar
•  1 quart cold water
Mix vinegar and water, sponge on stain, and wash as usual. Or try borax solution described for blood stain.

YOU KNOW YOU’RE GETTING OLD WHEN
You get a phone call 8:30 at night and they say, “Did I wake you?”
When it now takes two tries to get off the couch.
Prune juice is your favorite drink.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
Becky was thrilled to get an interview as a book keeper with Mr. Barker, CEO of P.F Transit Company. She hoped he wouldn’t notice her nervous twitch when she sat in front of his desk while he reviewed her resume. He laid it on his desk, placed both hands on the papers and leaned toward her.
“It seems you’ve had no experience or education as a book keeper. And you’ve requested a large salary.
What are you thinking?”
She sat up straight, “Well, it’s a lot harder to do a job when you don’t know anything about it.”
Today Becky enjoys her life as a waitress.

KEEP A HAPPY FACE
Stop lying about your age and start bragging about it. Sometimes it’s more important to be comfortable than beautiful.

OVERHEARD
A woman is like a teabag. She doesn’t know how strong she is until she’s in hot water.

If you have a headache, it might be all in your head.
