This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
about the recent 4th of July. It reminded me that it’s already July and that means the year is half over. Wow! That’s hard to believe. Aw Well, I’ll just be positive and appreciate that we still half of the year left.

YOU KNOW YOU’RE GETTING OLD WHEN…
People call you at 8:30 at night and ask if they woke you.
The most valuable thing in your house is you medicine cabinet.
Everyone reminds you of someone you once knew.
It takes three tries to get off the couch.
You open your outgoing mail by mistake.
You know all the answers, but nobody asks the questions.

MEDICAL TIPS
(Taken from the book Uncommon Cure for Everyday Ailments)
To help with the spinning feeling with vertigo, sip a cup of ginger tea.  Stir ground or crushed ginger into a cup of warm water.
To lengthen and relax the tight fascia in your foot and help prevent bone spurs, roll your foot over a golf ball while you watch TV or read.
Grab a cucumber when you get a sunburn. Cut it into thin, flexible disks, wipe the over the sensitive areas, using circular motions and a light touch.

GOOD ADVICE YOU HEARD BEFORE
First, don’t sweat the small stuff. And second — it’s all small stuff.
When in doubt-don’t.

THIIS I’VE LEARNED
Sometimes when we think about our childhood days sad memories come to mind first. Perhaps we should be aware of this and make a point to remember the happy and fun times. We’ve all had fun and happy times and to remember them will make us happy again. Think about it!
