I WAS THINKING…
about Jackie the bald eagle. I’m amazed at how a bird could touch so many people. I think it’s neat, but it makes me wonder who (or what) the next world celebrity is going to be.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

LEMON & LIME TO THE RESCUE
(Taken from Grandma Putt’s Problem Solvers)
*For a bout of hiccups, put a slice of lemon under the tongue, hold the juice for 10 seconds, and then swallow.
*To soothe the itch of insect bites, poison ivy or skin allergies, make a paste of lemon juice and cornstarch. Rub it on the problem areas.
*Stop a throbbing headache by rubbing half a cut lime across forehead.
*Ease a sore throat by drinking the juice of a lime mixed with 1 tablespoon of pineapple juice and 1 teaspoon of honey in a glass of lukewarm water.
*Pamper tired feet by massaging lime juice into the skin.

THIS I’VE LEARNED
We have all said or thought “IF ONLY”. We sometimes think how different our life would have been if we had made a different decision, even the smallest decision, rather positive or negative. It’s only natural for those thoughts to pop into our head, but it needs to be only a thought and not something to dwell on. There is absolutely nothing that can change. We must live our life knowing it is good and we are as happy as we choose to make it. Think about it!
