This I’ve Learned

Blog Jan 3, 2022

I WAS THINKING…
it doesn’t seem possible that 2022 is already here!  What happened to 2021?
I’m wishing you 12 months of success, 52 weeks of laughter, 365 days of fun,
8760 hours of joy, 525600 minutes of good luck and 31536000 seconds of happiness.
THE BEST IS YET TO COME!

NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS
Tom: “My resolution is to break my new year’s resolutions. That way I know I’ll be successful.”
85-year-old Fred: “I’m not going to act my age.”
Charles: “I’m going to stop procrastinating so much. I’ll tell you the rest tomorrow.”

FAMOUS NEW YEARS QUOTES
“The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written.” Melody Beattie
“You’re never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”  I hope in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly; you’re doing something.” Neil Gaiman
We all get the exact same 365 days. The only difference is what we do with them. Hillary DePiano
“Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.”–Waldo Emerson
“The magic in new beginnings is truly the most powerful of them all.” Josiyah Martin.

FIRE WARNINGS
This is a favorite time of year to burn candles. But what if the candle starts a fire beyond the candle itself. DO NOT pour water on it to put it out. The wet heated wax may cause an explosion.
If you have a grease fire on the stove, don’t throw water it. Instead put a lid on the pan to smother the fire.
Don’t overload extension cords because this can result in an electrical shortage and bad connections, which will ignite nearby combustibles and quickly start a fire.
Clean the dryer lint filter after every use. Of course, never use a dryer without a lint filter.
