This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
about physical therapy and how it helps so many people. I recently completed a series of treatment for an old shoulder ailment. I was impressed how kind and supportive my therapist, Hunter, was when helping me. I’m going to miss the massages and cold packs. Now all I need to do is the homework Hunter sent home with me. Well, at least I can do it in my pajamas.

REMEMBER THIS ADVICE?  HERE IT IS AGAIN.
Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
Listen to a tape while driving. It’s a fun way to learn or listen to a book.
Keep closets and drawers organized. Your mind will feel more organized too.
Be kind to unkind people. They need it most.
Don’t compare your life to others. You only know about your life’s journey.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
Signs of the Time
At a car dealership: “The best way to get back on your feet – miss a car payment.”
Car mechanic: “Come see us if you need a break.”
Car Repair Shop: “I couldn’t repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder.”
Body and Fender Shop: “We come wreck-a-mended”
Sign spotted on the back window of a small car being pulled by a motor home: “I go where I’m towed.”
Muffler Shop: “No appointment necessary – we’ll hear you coming.”

HINTS FOR BEVERAGES
(Taken from Haley’s Hints)
If drip or perked coffee is a bit bitter, add a pinch of salt to the coffee pot.
Dissolve sugar in hot water for use in iced coffee or tea to prevent sugar from sinking to the bottom.
Store coffee beans in the freeze.
Ad a pinch of grated orange rind to tea when steeping for a delicious flavor.
To put the bubbly back in wine, drop a raisin in the bottle. The concentrated sugar in the raisin will bring the bubbly back.
