This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING…
the world is at war yet not with each other, but fighting the same invisible enemy. That seems to amplify the meaning ‘we’re all in this together’.

Each day brings a new day with sunshine.Someday soon the sun will have a happy face.

It’s okay to smile at people you don’t know.
When in doubt, think again.
Don’t let yesterday’s mistakes be today’s worry.

your address book contains mostly names ending in MD.
your kids begin to look middle-aged.
you know all the answers, but nobody asks the questions.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE – Corona Fallout
The coronavirus has achieved what no wife has ever been able to do. It has canceled sports, closed all bars and kept all guys at home.
A mother was seen scraping off the ‘proud student’ bumper sticker.
There’s no place for people to go who once ended phone calls with “Okay, I’ve got to run now.”
The new dress code for work is PJs.
People now know what introverts do.
Wives are waving the four-year-old ‘honey-do-list’.

HOME IMPROVEMENT HINTS
Don’t let splintered plywood spoil your project. Put a strip of masking tape over the starting point.  It won’t split when you start to saw.
When using a screwdriver rub the blade with chalk to keep it from slipping.
