This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKING
about my bus trip this past week to Yosemite with 29 other seniors. I’m ashamed to say that I’ve never been there before. It was even more spectator than I imagined.
Even though there was lingering smoke from wild fires and the falls weren’t flowing because lack of rain, it was a beautiful granite wonderland.
Do you have a bucket list? Yosemite might be a place to consider.

FAVORITE QUOTES
“Though no one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending”- Author unknown
“I want my children to have all the things I couldn’t afford. Then I want to move in with them.”- Phyllis Diller
“Wrinkles should merely indicate where smiles have been.” – Mark Twain

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
I asked my granddaughter to fetch me a newspaper. She laughed and said, “Oh, Grandpa, you’re just too old fashion. Use my phone.”
So I slammed her phone against the wall and killed a hairy spider.

SAVE ON GAS
(Taken from Easy Does It)
Keep your tires at the correct air pressure. Underinflated tires wear out more quickly, and they cut fuel economy by as much as 2 percent per pound of pressure below recommended level.
Another quick hint…never use the cruise control on a wet road.

VALUABLE AND EXPENSIVE ARE NOT THE SAME
A keepsake that reminds you of someone
Rock you found while hiking
A picture a child drew for you
