This I’ve Learned

I WAS THINKIG…
about all the Christmas programs that are on television this month. They’re fun to watch. I certainly enjoyed one I saw the other night. It was called “Christmas Around the world”.  We got to travel to many major countries in the world showing their Christmas traditions, decorations, food and entertainment. Of course, there’s was the movie shown every year, “It’s a Wonderful Life”.  And also, all the children’s shows.  It’s a neat time for television. (As long you don’t turn on the news.)

ON THE LIGHTER SDIDE
Steve was Christmas shopping with his wife when he realized he didn’t see his wife. He went up to a very attractive woman and said, “Excuse me, can you help me?  I can’t see my wife and I know she’s in the mall somewhere. Can you just stand here and talk to me?
Startled, the woman replied, “I don’t understand.”
Steve explained, “Every time I talk to a beautiful woman, my wife seems to appear.”

FRESH GREENERY IN YOUR HOME FOR CHRISTMAS
Go to any place that sells Christmas trees (tree lots, Lowe’s, Walmart, etc.) and ask for the branches and cuttings that have fallen off. They are usually glad to get them off of their hands since they’re just going to throw them away. Besides using them for decorations, try tucking them in and around your artificial tree to give it that fresh tree smell. Perhaps you could go to a local park after a windy day and collect freshly fallen evergreen boughs.

FAMOUS LAST WORDS
Stand back, I got this.
This is how it works?
I’m OK.
What could possibly go wrong?

WORDS OF WISDOM
Enjoy the little things in life because one day you’ll look back and realize they were the big things.

PUNCH LINES
Never hire a lawyer who uses the word “whatever”.
Those who fib could get caught in a mouth trap.
